Webshare is the most accessible way to start with proxies. Its free plan includes 10 datacenter proxies with no card required, and paid datacenter IPs start at $0.30/proxy — low enough that it has become the default choice for testing scripts and running low-stakes automation.
Setup is entirely self-serve and takes minutes, and the datacenter network is large at 30M+ IPs with fast measured response times. You choose how many proxies you want and how much bandwidth, so small configurations stay cheap. A 10M+ residential pool is available from $4.50/GB for jobs that need it.
Datacenter IPs have natural limits, though. Strict targets identify and block them quickly, and Webshare's residential offering is not strong enough to compete with specialists when that happens.
Best for: developers testing scrapers, hobby projects and automation against lightly protected sites.
