Overview
Bright Data (known as Luminati Networks until 2021) is the largest proxy provider in the market and the reference point every other enterprise network is measured against. It runs all four proxy types — a 150M+ residential pool, 7M+ mobile IPs, 700K+ ISP addresses and 1.6M+ datacenter IPs — and wraps them in a suite of scraping APIs, unblockers and ready-made datasets.
What sets it apart is depth rather than headline pool size. Residential targeting goes down to city level across 195 countries, and the dashboard's logging, usage breakdowns and access controls are the most complete we have tested. Compliance is taken seriously too: KYC checks are part of onboarding, which matters to legal and procurement teams.
The cost is complexity. Residential starts at $5.04/GB, but with separate products, zones and add-ons, forecasting a monthly bill takes real effort, and first-time users should budget time to learn the platform.
Best for: enterprise scraping, ad verification and any project where geo precision and audit trails matter more than price.
