Overview
Decodo is the new name for Smartproxy, which rebranded in 2025. It targets the gap between budget providers and the enterprise tier: a 115M+ residential pool, 800K+ ISP proxies and 500K+ datacenter IPs, sold through a dashboard that most people can set up in minutes.
The appeal is balance. Residential starts at $3.50/GB — well under the enterprise leaders — while pool quality and geo coverage across 195 countries hold up for most scraping, price-tracking and multi-accounting work. Support runs around the clock over live chat, and datacenter proxies from $0.45/GB make it easy to mix IP types on one account.
It is not built for every scenario. Enterprise-style controls are thinner than at Bright Data or Oxylabs, and the most heavily targeted sites can occasionally see pool saturation at peak times.
Best for: startups, agencies and growing teams that want solid residential proxies without enterprise pricing or complexity.
Look elsewhere if: you need contract terms, dedicated account management or the very deepest targeting.
