Overview
Surfshark is the value pick among the major VPNs. Based in the Netherlands and part of Nord Security since the two companies merged in 2022, it offers an independently audited no-logs policy and 3,200+ servers across 100 countries.
Its defining feature is unlimited simultaneous connections. Where most providers cap you at eight or ten devices, one Surfshark subscription covers every phone, laptop and TV in a household — or a small team — at no extra cost. Long-term plans start at $2.19/mo, among the lowest prices in the premium tier, and WireGuard keeps speeds competitive.
Two caveats are worth knowing. Speeds trail NordVPN and ExpressVPN slightly in our testing, and the introductory price rises sharply at renewal, so check what the second term will cost before committing.
Best for: families, shared households and small teams covering many devices on a budget.
Look elsewhere if: you want the absolute fastest speeds or a renewal price that stays low.
